Document Description
The State of California Department of Fish adn Game is entering into a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA# 1600-2009-0068-R5 revision3) with a City of Walnut, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The City of Walnut intends to alter the streambed by extending Meadow-pass Road and impacting Lemon Creek and unnamed tributaries to Lemon Creek. Segment A (southern segment) will consists of the construction of a 4x4 double box culvert with headwalls that will channel flows from an unnamed tributary under the roadway and outlet in the Lemon Creek proper. Segment B (northern segment) will require the relocation of a segment of the Lemon Creek channel to the western side of the roadway extension. Debris basin infrastructure will be installed to direct peak flows from the basin to the southern segment of the creek (Segment A). The project will result in permanent impacts of 1.13 acres to Lemon Creek and an unnamed tributary to Lemon Creek.
