Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018-0084-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Ventura County Resource Conservation District. The project is limited to the alteration of the Santa Clara River and associated tributaries from implementation of the santa Clara River Arundo/tamarisk removal and associated tributaries from implementation of the Santa Clara River Arundo/Tamarisk Removal Program. The SCARP will ensure project proponents compliance with regulatory permits for removal of invasive species such as Arundo and tamarisk from the watershed. Standard methods of hand removal, mechanical removal, herbicide application, tarping, controlled burning and biological control will be chosen and depend upon time of year, severity of infestation, presence of native plants, wildlife and sensitive species, proximity of surface water, budget, and permitting standards. Disposal options include drying, incineration, and landfill disposal.
