Document Description
The proposed Segerstrom High School Expansion Project consists of changes to the sports stadium and student enrollment plan for the future Segerstrom High School pursuant to Resolution No. 05/06-2620. The Expansion Project will include expansion of the Segerstrom High School sports stadium seating capacity from approximately 1,500 to approximately 3,200, increased usage of the sports stadium, installation of restroom and concession stand facilities, and installation of artificial track and turf surfaces. The future Segerstrom High School was originally evaluated for potential impacts to the environment, in accordance with CEQA requirements, in the Santa Ana New High School #6 Final EIR certified in March 2002 (SCH# 2001121082). The project may result in a significant impact to the environment with respect to aesthetics/light and glare, and air quality. The Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education finds that these potential significant adverse impacts would be reduced with the implementation of the project-related design features and recommended mitigation measures; however, the impacts cannot be reduced to a less than significant level.
