The new regulations establish minimum requirements for the design, construction, operation, and closure of solar evaporators and have been developed through a review of existing information on the development and regulation of solar evaporators, and through informal consultation with other State agencies, primarily the Department of Water Resources and the Department of Food and Agriculture.
