The SBSP Restoration Project encompasses approximately 15,100 acres of former salt ponds located around the edge of the South San Francisco Bay, and, if approved, would be the largest wetlands restoration project on the West Coast of the United States. The project is intended to restore and enhance wetlands in South San Francisco Bay while providing for flood management and wildlife-oriented public access and recreation.
