The project will enhance approximately 230 acres of coastal wetlands (managed ponds E12 and E13) on the Department of Fish and Game's Eden Landing Ecological Reserve. It is part of a larger restoration project to restore and/or enhance 15,100 acres of former salt ponds and adjacent habitats in South San Francisco acquired by the Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2003.
