The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0117-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the City of Antioch Redevelopment Agency. The project is limited to replacement of an existing 72-inch diameter, 60 foot long corrugated metal pipe culvert that routes Markley Creek through the existing Somersville Road embankment with a new 96-inch diameter, 186 foot long reinforced concrete pipe. Culvert replacement will include removal of Portland concrete cement chunks used as riprap structure and installation of new headwalls and new rock riprap. The new culvert will have natural bottom to facilitate wildlife movement under Somersville Road.
