Document Description
The Project involves the creation of a breeding pond for California red-legged frog (CRLF) by removing approximately 1,200 cubic yards of soil of the Upper Terrace of Younger Lagoon, re-shaping the excavated area, and lining a deeper portion of the created pond to extend the hydroperiod for amphibian breeding. The Project is part of the Master Permit for the Santa Cruz County Resource Conservation District for small, environmentally beneficial projects including restoration and management of declining habitats.
