Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0205-R, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Land Trust of Santa Cruz County. Project is limited to construction of a tile drain denitrification system (bio reactor) and sediment basin to treat concentrated runoff from approx. 160 acres of surrounding farmland. A 150-foot by 75-foot sediment basin will be constructed adjacent to a 150-foot by 55-fot bioreactor. The sediment basin will receive pumped drainage water that collects in low elevation areas of adjacent farms before it enters the bioreactor. A 1,000 gallon storage tank will be placed in low elevation areas fo adjacent farms before it enters the bioreactor. A 1000-gallon storage tank will be placed adjacent to the bioreactor to receive pumped inflow prior to discharging into the bio reactor. Two 9-inch risers will be installed in the southeast corner of the property to connect an underground waterline to the sediment basin. A 600-foot by 15-foot grassed swale will be installed to direct flow and reduce flow velocities of stormwater runoff.
