Document Description
The project is limited to the following activities: removal of six Monterey pine trees around the banks of the pond; removal of accumulated pine needles and leaf litter; removal of black plastic that is currently lining the pond bed; all disturbed areas will be revegetated; five-gallon container native oak trees harvested from areas adjacent to the project site will be planted in areas where trees will be removed; approximately 15 jubata grass plants located within the pond will be removed and replaced with one gallon California coffeeberry and Stickey monkeyflower harvested from adjacent areas. The pond will be dry during ground-disturbing activities. Throughout the duration of any ground-disturbing activities a biological monitor will be present. CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2015-0184-R3 pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, Chris Coburn, Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County.
