Document Description
The proposed project will protect exposed soil along the left bank of Soquel Creek adjacent to the landowner's property, and remove rock rip rap (previously installed by property owner) that is undersized to withstand expected stream flows. Erosion control blankets and willow stakes plus other woody native plants will be installed after rip rap removal for long term erosion control. Pruning of one large cottonwood tree will reduce the likelihood that it would fall during an intense storm causing bank failure and will increase sunlight exposure for establishment of plants installed for erosion control.
