This project is under the Master Permit issued to the Santa Cruz County Resource Conservation District (RCD) to administer the Santa Cruz Countywide Permit Coordination Program, for small, environmentally beneficial projects on private lands in Santa Cruz County. Project activities include constructing a boulder cascade for energy dissipation and removing the existing culvert. Construction of the project will require some re-grading of the existing channel banks upstream and downstream of the project site and the upstream reach of the channel will be realigned to reduce sediment. A new roadway section will be constructed after removal of an existing culvert. The project site will be re-vegetated with native plant species. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0230-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County.
