Document Description
This Project will reduce sediment delivery to Branciforte Creek on Branciforte Drive near the City of Santa Cruz. The project proposes using redwood logs with rootwads attached with rocks and logs keyed in along the toe for ~40 ft of bank. The logs will be held in place with 4 soil anchors per log. Footer logs, a minimum of 18 inches in diameter, will be placed and keyed below scour depth. D100-48-inch rock will be placed on top of and in between the logs at the toe. Total volume of materials is estimated to be 7.5 cy of timber, 6 cy of gravel, and 20 cy of rock riprap.
