Document Description
This Project would remove a concrete apron, a piece of concrete lip, and broken concrete piece, which is currently narrowing streamflow on Lompico Creek on Carrol Avenue off of Lompico Road in Zayante, Santa Cruz County. Removing ~2 cy of the concrete would allow the sandy, porous material which has built up behind the structure to flush out and facilitate unobstructed stream flow. If large equipment is used, 2 excavators will be staged on the bridge, one breaking up the concrete while the other lifts the pieces out and disposes them into a dump truck. Traffic control will be provided for the other lane of the bridge. If hand-held equipment os used, a rock saw or similar equipment will be used to break up the concrete. An excavator, dump truck, skid steer (Bob Cat), crane and loader will be used.
