The City of San Carlos is proposing to install a third box culvert where Belmont Creek crosses below Industrial Way. Currently, there are two 10 feet by 6 feet box culverts in this location. The goal of the project is to reduce channel constriction at this point and thereby reduce flooding along Belmont Creek upstream of the project site. A draft Streambed Alteration Agreement has been issued by the California Department of Fish and Game for this project.
