Document Description
The MCP is a new freeway located in western Riverside County. The MCP project is approximately 14.3 miles long and will serve as a major west-east connection within western Riverside County and will also provide for regional connection to eastern Riverside County, Los Angeles County, and Orange County. The purpose of the project is to provide a transportation facility that will effectively and efficiently accommodate regional west-east movement of people and goods between and through the Cities of Perris and San Jacinto. The Riverside County Transportation Commission approved the construction of Alternative 9 Modified with the San Jacinto River Bridge Design Variation and the Base Case Alignment through the City of San Jacinto, and as further to avoid the permanent incorporation of land from the San Jacinto Wildlife Area, for implementation.
