The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, Southern California Gas Company. The applicant proposes to conduct horizontal directional drilling in order to install a new 4-inch high pressure main pipeline (line 38-536). Horizontal directional drilling at each waterway crossing will consist of two (2) excavations, a receiving hole and an entrance pit. These pits will be located approximately 100 feet on either side of the water crossings. The horizontal directional drill will be a minimum of 10 feet below the bottom of the channel. A frac-out contingency plan and materials will be kept on the job site during all activities. At the conclusion of work, the directional drill locations will be restored to pre-existing contours and conditions.
