Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to remove accumulated gravel overburden from the dry mid-channel bars, to restore channel capacity, and place the removed gravel in a stable location outside of the flood zone. Willow bushes removed from mid-channel bars will be replanted on the stream bank to prevent erosion and restore channel complexity. There will be removal of health, mature, or scenic trees as a result of this project. The project will have no significant effect on the environment.
