Property is currently in unincorporated Sacramento County and is used for agricultural use to grow feed crops. There are two small rental homes on the site, but one is abandoned and the other would be removed. The property is Ag. and Ag. Res. and Zoned Ag80 and AR10.
Document Description
To lease and possibly annex up to 171 acres adjacent to the City of Galt's existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and to make improvements to the property for the purpose of using it to grow crops that will be irrigated with secondary treated effluent. This project will increase the total land disposal area for Galt WWTP effluent to accomodate the plant's present treatment capactiy of 3 million gallon per day consistent with current Galt General Plan buildout projections. A conditional use permit will be required from Sacramento County to commerce irrigation.
