Document Description
The City proposes to construct wells and pumping facilities to obtain approximately 9,250 gallons per minute groundwater supply from the deep aquifer to replace lost groundwater capacity from wells removed from service since 1987, including an increase in historic demand and in anticipation of well capacity removal in the near future. Approximately 4 to 6 deep aquifer wells and a storage tank and booster pump station are required to obtain the necessary capacity to meet current needs. The City has identified eight potential well sites as the highest priority locations to investigate for installation of replacement wells, as well as two backup locations. The 23 priority is to pursue locations in the eastern and southern portions of the City's service area where most of the well capacity has been lost since 1987.
