- Document Description
- CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0261-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, Placer County Water Agency. The proposed project, which is associated with future development of the Ophir Water Treatment Plant and current maintenance activities at the existing Ophir Pump station, is limited to the following activities: 1. Widening an existing unpaved access road across a 3-foot wide seasonal drainage. The seasonal drainage connects to a riparian wetland/storm water detention basin, under the South Canal (via 18-inch culvert) and into a seasonal drainage that connects to Auburn Ravine. This activity will involve the placement of 0.006 acre of fill (0.005 acres of permanent and 0.001 acre of temporary fill, 92 linear feet) into the seasonal drainage and the removal of three trees (interior live oak, CA buckeye, non-native fig tree) ranging from 8-12 inches trunk diameter at breast height (DBH). 2. Installing a concrete swale, outfall structure, and associated rock slope protection within riparian wetland habitat (associated with a storm water detention basin). This activity will involve the placement fo 0.035 acre of permanent fill (55 linear feet) within a riparian wetland. The fill will consist of 15 cubic yards of rock, 80 cubic yards of soil, and 1 cubic yard of concrete. One arroyo willow with an 8-inch DBH will be removed.
