Document Description
The County of Los Angeles proposes to develop the Skyline Ranch residential development. The project would develop on approximately 622 acres of the site, which includes 1,313 lots, approximately an 11-acre elementary school site, 10 lots for park areas, 13 debris basin lots, and 25 open lots. Nearly 3 quarters of the site (northern 1,551 acres) is proposed to remain undeveloped, with approximately 1,355 acres dedicated or designated as a Non-Development/Continuing Use Area. Also, within the northern portion of the site approximately 22 acres would be preserved as a Mitigation Exchange Area for 22 acres of preserve area within adjacent recorded Tract 46018. Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency – Santa Clarita Division will serve the new development with drinking water. The water system portion of the Project includes the construction and operation of four new water tanks and a new booster pump station. Treated surface water and groundwater from five existing wells will provide the new Skyline Ranch development with water for the tanks.
