Document Description
Caltrans - District 11 and the Federal Highway Administration have prepared a SIR/EIS for the I-5 North Coast Corridor Project. The improvements proposed would maintain or improve the existing further traffic operations to a 27-mile section of I-5, beginning at La Jolla Village Drive in the City of San Diego and ending at Harbor Boulevard in the City of Oceanside (post mile R28.4/R55.4). The SIR/EIS provides additional information to supplement the Draft EIR/EIS regarding: lagoon hydrology studies, which were not final at the time of public circulation for the DEIR/EIS and are presented to provide clarification of data; documentation of measures adopted to address coastal wetlands; further details about the proposed community and regional enhancement features; information about project phasing presented and adopted in the 2050 RTP; and information about the Caltrans identified Locally Preferred Alternative under the CEQA.
