Document Description
The Clovis Skate Park project is proposed to be an approximately 25,000 to 30,000 square foot skating facility with 7 to 8-foot deep bowls designed for the use of skaters, located on an existing park site. The site will be open during regular park hours, fenced on all four sides with at least two gates, 7 corner lights, concrete surface (which will include beginner, advanced and street skating areas), and full Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Safety equipment will include posted signs and required safety accessories for skaters (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and closed toe shoes). The project will utilize existing parking on the park site with additional parking available when the City Corporation Yard relocates in 2003. A new restroom building will also be incorporated into the design of the skate park and will be made part of the project.
