Document Description
Metropolitan has performed electromagnetic inspections of the Calabasas Feeder, a 54-inch diameter prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP), built in 1975 which revealed 14 distressed pipe sections. Repair of the seven most distressed pipe sections at this time will reduce the risk of pipe failure and disruption of member agency deliveries. The remaining seven sections have only five wire breaks each and will be monitored on a 5-10 year interval. Additionally, Metropolitan performed a routine inspection of the Eagle Rock Lateral/Palos Verdes Feeder Interconnection, a 24-inch diameter pipe built in 1951.
