Document Description
This project will repair the rear porch of the Gold Nugget Saloon Building, currently used as a U.S. Post Office at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park. The building is an historic strucutre. The rear porch has been damaged by vehicles backing into the structure. Repairs will be made consistent with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The project will include repairing and replacing the porch frame structure, replacing corrugated metal roof panels as needed and replacing rain gutters and downspouts. Historic materials and fabric will be replaced in-kind, and repairs will be painted to match the existing structure.
