Document Description
The Riverside Unified School District is proposing minor additions to Ramona High School located within an urban neighborhood in the City of Riverside. The proposed project would occur within the confines of the existing high school campus and would entail the following projects: - Renovate buildings to provide improved accessiblity for disabled persons, - Remove hazardous substances (including abatement of lead and asbestos, if applicable), - Renovate instructional spaces and core facilities (on-site interim housing would be provided, and - Establish a 1,920 SF portable classroom for use as a dance studio. The proposed improvements would not increase the number of teaching stations or the enrollment capacity of the existing campus. Rather, the improvements would upgrade access for disabled persons, provide better and safer instructional facilities for students and staff, and make available a new dance studio. A detailed description of the proposed project and conditions onsite and in the surrounding area is contained in the Attachment to the Notice of Exemption.
