Document Description
Caltrans will conduct structure foundation drilling and investigation at Pier 4 and Abutment 5 at Lake Britton by constructing a temporary access road to allow transport of a truck mounted drilling rig. The road will take off from Dust Camp Road and, after drilling operations, be stabilized and left in place for use during actual bridge construction. Work will involve blasting, temporary easements and some vegetation removal. Caltrans will collect similar data at Pier 2, on the south shore of the lake, using a barge mounted drilling rig. Staging is designated east of SR 89, between Dusty Camp road and the railroad tracks.
