Minor additions to the existing Chemawa Middle School located within a developed neighborhood in the City of Riverside. The proposed project would occur within the confines of the developed middle school campus and would entail the following projects: 1) Remove hazardous substances (including abatement of lead and asbestes, if applicable), 2) Renovate Instructional spaces and core facilities (on-site interim housing would be provided during construction), 3) Revise transportation access, including front driveway and fire lane access and a new bike rack area, and 4) Replace twelve portable classroom buildings with a permanent twelve-classroom building.
