The Muir Heritage Land Trust will carry out a watershed education project for high school students focusing on the restoration of Alhambra Creek. In addition to learning about creek ecology, students will remove exotic plant species and grow and plant native riparian species.

Reasons for Exemption
Section 15301 (i) exempts maintenance of wildlife areas and stream channels to protect fish and wildlife resources such as removing exotic plant species and planting natives. Section 15304 exempts minor public or private alterations in the conditions of land, water, and/or vegetation which does not involve the removal of healthy, mature scenic trees. Removal of exotic plant species will not involve mature trees.
