Document Description
The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to widen State Route 4 (SR 4), and its interchanges and local roadways from just west of the Contra Loma Boulevard-L Street Interchange to just east of the G Street Overcrossing. The project is a phased component of the widening of SR 4 from just west of Loveridge Road to SR 160.
The work will be conducted in 2 phases. The first phase of work requires the rerouting of a new 24-inch PG&E natural gas pipeline across a channelized section of West Antioch Creek, approximately 720 feet northwest of the existing Contra Loma 24' high pressure main from the south side of West Antioch creek to the north side of the creek. The gas main will cross the creek channel and flood plain through a section of a creek that is approximately 100' wide from top of bank to top of bank.
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0097-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant Susan Miller/Contra Costa Transportation Authority.
