Document Description
The project is limited to creation of a 4,500-square-foot (0.10-acre) seasonal wetland. The wetland will be created by recontouring the existing channel to form a gradually sloping basin, installing berms or other retention features within the basin to slow water flows, and re-seeding the basin and adjacent banks with herbaceous wetland species currently found onsite. Creation of wetland will require the removal of one coast live oak. The project is located at San Pablo Creek, south of Stein Way between Knickerbocker Lane and Oak Road in the City of Orinda, County of Contra Costa. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2012-0110-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Signature Development Group, Inc.
