Document Description
The project site is approximately two miles long and one half mile wide, located adjacent to the incorporated boundaries of Grass Valley. The project site consists of approximately 760 acres, 757 acres of which are the former North Star Mine property. The current project application includes the following components:
-Initiation of annexation of the project site to the City of Grass Valley,
-Amendment of the City's General Plan,
-Prezoning of the property through adoption of the specific plan as the zoning document,
-Single family and multifamily residences consisting of up to 2,140 units on approximately 312 acres,
-Mixed use area of 44 acres,
-Neighborhood Community Center Commercial on 9 acres,
-Transportation Center,
-Park or public sites covering approximately 80 acres.
