Document Description
The Patterson Joint Unified School District ("District") proposes to undertake the acquisition of 23 acres of land, identified geenrally as Stanislaus County, for the construction and operation of the proposed East Side Middle School, related roadways, utiltities, and annexation thereof to the City of Patterson. Facilities to be constructed include classrooms for approximately 800 to 1,000 students for development of a middle school which will be utilized in the interim for grades kindergarten through eighth (K-8); administrative offices, library, multi-purpose rooms, cafeteria parking (for teachers, staff and visitors) for loading/drop-off, fire lanes, playgrounds including hardscape and turf playfields and landscaping. The project maybe used from time to time on a year round basis. The buildings will be designed to comply with State Department of Education's guidelines and local zoning codes. The lighting for the Project will include low level security lighting, signage, and illumination of the surface parking lot and associated pedestrian areas.
The Eastside Middle School will serve the needs of the District and the surrounding community. The purpose of the Project is to provide educational facilities for elementary or middle school students within the District. Educational programs will be offered during the day, but occasional evening community programs are anticipated.
