The project involves eradication of Arundo donax, an invasive weed, within the Big Sulphur Creek Hydrologic Sub-Area of the Russian River, which includes Big Sulphur Creek and all it's tributaries. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2005-0020-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Sotoyome Resource Conservation District.
