- Document Description
- The Alameda County Permit Coordination Program will provide the catalyst for high quality erosion control and habitat restoration in Alameda County watersheds. The program is based on a model of coordinated, multi-agency regulatory review that ensures the integrity of agency mandates but makes permitting more accessible to farmers, ranchers, and other private landowners than the traditional process. In the proposed program, regulatory agencies issue master permits or programmatic agreements to the ACRCD/NRCS to cover specific, standardized conservation practices that will improve water quality, soil stability, and wildlife habitat. The conservation and restoration practices are relatively small in size, have demonstrated net environmental benefits, and are usually performed for erosion control or habitat restoration in and around waterways.
