Construct new bridge on a seperate alignment. The existing bridge will be removed. The existing bridge is fracture critical and is near the end of its service life. The bridge does not comply with modern seismic standards, lacks standard width shoulders, and cannot accommodate large vehicle permit loads due to lane width and limitations on weight loading.
