Kern Oil & Refining Co. is proposing modifications to produce Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel, as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) 40CFR §§ 80,500 final rule for diesel fuel standards, in order to make the deadline of June 1, 2006. This project has been developed to control sulfur compounds in the diesel/distillate streams through a series of modifications.
