Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant. At nine locations in the Crazy Horse-Echo Valley area, Caltrans proposes the following work; install two new culverts, fill two small unnamed drainages that dissipates immediately downstream without connecting to any other hydraulic feature, fill a portion of the wetland riparian area associated with the tributary to Prunedale Creek (impacts to wetlands will be minimized by use of a viaduct, instead of a traditional fill slope), restore 66 feet of a tributary to Prunedale Creek by removing an existing driveway and associated culvert, restore hydrologic connectivity between wetlands by removing another driveway, place Rock Slope Protection as needed at the above locations to dissipate energy and prevent erosion. The detour for Crazy Horse during construction will require the installation of two temporary culverts and temporary fill for the detour will impact seasonal.
