Document Description
It is the intent of the applicant to relocate their existing whole leaf lettuce processing facility to this new location. According to the application, the processing facility will be within a metal building approximately 84,000 square feet in size and include parking and a shipping truck dock. The plant will initially hire approximately 200 employees and the facility will operate from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for approximately four to five months, from November through March, each year. Two commercial driveways into the facility will be constructed with a paved parking lot with a minimum of 200 parking spaces and a minimum of four handicapped spaces will be constructed on-site. For storm water runoff and operational water usage, a collection retention area will be constructed on-site. Water for the employees will be treated to potable water standards that meet all federal, state and local health requirements.
