Reasons for Exemption
The project is a repair/replacement of an existing utility system involving negligible expansion of capacity. The project is relatively small, and will be construted within the confines of a well established and developed facility that is located in a developed airport. The project will be constructed in a lawn area that was previously leveled and planted in non-native grass. The lawn is surrounded by driveways, taxiways, and buildings. No native plant species will be impacted by the project. The lawn is not a habitat for any endangered, rare, or threatened species of fauna. The project is not associated with any expansion of operations at the facility, but instead is to restore the disposal capacity of the existing leachfield. The project will not have a significant effect on the environment, and is Categorically exempt under Title 12 CCR, Section 15302.
