Document Description
The Placer County Board of Supervisors (Board) took action on February 25, 1992 to Adopt Placer County Code, Chapter 4, Subchapter 1, Section 4.45, Ordinance Governing Individual On-Site Sewage Disposal Systems. There was a subsequent revision in November 1994. During re-codification procedures initiated by Placer County, County Counsel, the on-site sewage disposal system ordinance was inadvertently left out of the process and was not transferred to the appropriate new chapter of county code.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 8 exemptions consist of actions taken by regulatory agencies, as authorized by state or local ordinance, to assure the maintenance, restoration, enhancement, or protection of the environment where the regulatory process involves procedures for protection of the environment. The project fits this definition. The proposed revisions will not result in relaxing of existing standards in such a way as to potentially degrade the environment thus meeting the intent of class 8 exemptions.
