Document Description
Maintenance dredging of approximately 55,000 cubic yards (cy) of sediment over a 5-yr period, to a project depth of -14.0 feet mean lower low water, with a 2-foot overdredge allowance. Most of the dredged material will be beneficially reused for levee rehabilitation at Winter Island located upstream of the project site near the confluence of Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. A small portion (not more than 9,000 cy) will be used for similar levee rehabilitation projects at Chipps Island and Van Sickle Island, both of which are managed wetland in the Suisun Resource Conservation District.
