Document Description
The purpose of this PEIR contract is to research, develop and demonstrate an advanced tracking system for photovoltaics. The objectives of this project are to improve reliability and reduce installation time, maintenance time and capital costs of the PowerTracker system for utility and other large-scale commercial applications. Component bench testing will be done at the Berkley facility, and the structural performance of tracker systems in various wind and extreme weather conditions will be analyzed using a yet to be determined research facility.
