Document Description
To address the need for immediate relief of over crowding in the California State Prison System due to unexpected increases in statewide inmate population the California Department of Corrections proposes to activate 180 emergency beds at High Desert State Prison. CDC proposes to activate dayroom sections of the 270-design facilities to accommodate placement of 180 beds to existing structures through minor remodeling and retrofitting. The project will require approximately 30 full time staff.
