Document Description
Develop a trail system in and around the recently acquired Peace Valley of the Sutter Buttes Project to provide access to the area, discourage creation of volunteer trails, and protect sensitive resources. Construct equestrian and pedestrian trails to the project and its interpretive sites. Install interpretive signs to encourage understanding and protection of sensitive resources and signs to delineate boundaries and prevent tresspass on private property. Install chemical toilets at appropriate locations along the trails. Identify, monitor, and provide adaptive management of the project's natural and cultural resources. Develop brochures to identify the trail system and interpret the project's resources.

Project consists of minor alterations in the condition of land, water, and vegetation that will not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees and placement of minor structures accessory to public recreational use, included as "trail construction", "resource management", "installation of signs" and "placement of portable toilets" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR Section 15300.4.
