Reasons for Exemption
Article 19 Section 15304 allows exemptions for minor alterations to land which does not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. Subsection (a) also allows for grading of land with a slope of less than 10%. The boardwals will be constructed to span a seasonal seep area that currently leaves the existing trail in a muddy condition during the winter months. The site has been reviewed by North Fork Associated and determined to not be a wetlands. The trail bridge will be constructed of wood materials similar to those that already exist on this trail.
