Document Description
The proposed project, located approximately at the 32 mile post on Carmel Valley Road, would construct a packed cobble road crossing over Paloma Creek. The road crossing would be approximately 10 feet wide and bordered by shoulders two feet wide. A portion of the streambed and bank would be excavated to accomodate the crossing, which would extend across the creek and for a distance of up to 6 feet up each bank beyond the edge of the bed. Boulders approximately 12 to 18 inches in diameter would be placed in the cut area and overlaid with cobbles ranging from 4 to 8 inches in diameter and all rocks would be compacted into the soil. The project is needed to allow vehicular access across the creek. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2004-0249-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
