Document Description
The purpose of this project is to protect the exterior levee by re-establishing the existing tidal berm located on the bay side of the levee. This will be done by using natural materials to capture sediment. Attached is a project description, photos of the site erosion, a drawing of the site restoration plan, and photos depicting example of similar restoration work done in the San Joaquin/Sacramento River Delta.

This project is exempt under Sect 15302 because the tidal berm will be in the same location and serve the same purpose as it did before it became eroded. This project is exempt under Sec 15304 because The Island Clud is part of a state wildlife management area and the project will improve fish and wildlife habitat. This project would also be exempt under Section 15333, if it's addition is approved.
