Document Description
The Orange County Department of Education proposes a new community high school campus with 5 buildings totaling approximately 45,200 square feet. The project site is 6.9 acres. The school will have a maximum capacity to serve 594 students in 22 classrooms with a student ratio of 27 students per classroom on a traditional calendar year with no staggered sessions. However, the proposed student enrollment is likely to be much lower as the facility will accomodate the transfer of 376 students in existing OCDE programs in Fountain Valley. The proposed Community School No. 1 will facilitate the transfer of 376 students currently attending the Fountain Valley Education Center and Renaissance Lyceum, both are existing OCDE education facilities located in Fountain Valley. Two driveway connections will provide access to a 6 stall parking area along the site's northerly boundary along Harbor Boulevard. A student drop off area will be provided along an international access road. Turf areas, game courts, and a garden area will be located in the southern half of the campus.
